Community Markets (Souks)

In the second hand area of the souk, amongst what looks like house clearance rubbish and a jumble sale, you may find; hand spun knotted and woven carpets, woollen djalaba, carved bedsteds and benches, or perhaps an antique pestle and morter. In another part you are surounded by mounds of bright fresh fruit and vegetables and pyramids of spices.
Two wheeled hand carts with their owners, wait patiently throughout the souk, ready and eager to push your shopping back to awaiting donkeys or taxi's. |
